Community

Volunteering

I've had the opportunity to volunteer for the community through a variety of organizations. With Code Orange, I mentored an elementary school student weekly on how to code using Scratch. In the Longhorn Entrepreneurship Agency, I helped put on events/workshops/talks on campus to engage students in entrepreneurship. With HackTX, a friend and I built the official app for the over 700 student attendees. With 3 Day Startup, I helped run a 72 hour learn-by-doing startup workshop. For the Cambridge Science Festival my team and I were responsible for developing and organizing hands-on STEM events targeted towards middle and high school students. I've completed over 500 volunteer hours through the Burlington Recreation Department, the Rotary Club and the National Honor Society.
